For DC Electric Arc Furnaces, Steetley Dolomite has developed special high flow, conductive hot repair materials.

EAF Hearth Repair Materials

Ramming materials are primarily intended for re-profiling and installation of hearths and banks of electric arc steel furnaces. Steetley Dolomite supplies products for the whole monolithic section of conventional EAF's, and the non-conductive sections of DC-Electric
Arc furnaces.

* DOLORAM DD	Produced from 100% dead burnt dolomite. 38% MgO, 58% CaO. This is a cost effective material for moderate furnace conditions.
* DOLOMAG 50/50	Dead burnt dolomite enriched with natural magnesia. 62% MgO. For more severe furnace conditions.
* BRITRAM 4 HD	High magnesia hearth repair material with self-densifying properties. 75% MgO. Designed for applications where little or no compaction is applied. - particularly suitable for DC-EAF hearths utilising steel fin electrodes. - for complete hearths where conditions are more severe and inter-heat fettling is not common practice.
